5.0 out of 5 stars A triumphant debut, 1 May 2013

I really enjoyed this book. I felt sympathy for
Indigo right from the start. I found it a very positive read and would
recommend it to anyone with similar problems to Indigo. All the characters
were well written and the descriptions of East Lothian make me want to visit
there before too long. I look forward to the sequel

5.0 out of 5 stars a conscious spiritual journey, 27 Dec 2012
By
Indigo Awakes takes the reader on a spiritual
journey. DeWinter's novel provides the inspiration to either take the journey
yourself, or to renew the steps that you may have already taken in the past.
I found the book a gentle nudge towards remembering how to recover the joy
within. Indigo, the main character, takes conscious steps to rebuild her
self-esteem and reclaim her life as her own. Set on the shores of Scotland,
the book explores universal tools such as Reiki healing, solitude, travel,
and the beauty of the natural world, as ways to reconnect. Whether you need
to make changes in your life, or whether you already have, this story will
remind you how to bring youth and meaning back into your world.

5.0 out of 5 stars lovely first novel, 23 Nov 2012

A love story with an underlying message about
finding your core strength and taking inspiration from your spiritual
experiences.
The plot line moves along well keeping you engaged throughout. The
descriptions of the reiki experiences are great and would be a fantastic
introduction, in novel form, to reiki for anyone unfamiliar with it. However
those parts don't dominate the book, it's a good read, not preachy.
I'm looking forward to the sequel!

This is a must read book; you'll be gripped from
the opening pages. We've all faced adversity and this beautifully written
book shows us there's a reason for everyone of us to be optimistic.
To me, the best books have a character with which we can identifty and
Indigo's problems will resonate with many. We've all felt that life is
closing in and Indigo's journey is an inspirational tale which leaves you
feeling it's within us all to make positive change.
This is an easy to read book, undoubtedly the best fiction I've read in 20
years!

Life is hard for so many people these days, but
this fantastic novel shows us the way up. Indigo is a woman of today,

too! - can take courage from this writing. You won't want to put it down, and
you'll read it again.
